Workshop description:
In the workshop Music Therapy in the Service of Well-being, participants will be introduced to music therapy interventions aimed at strengthening cognitive functions and enhancing personal well-being. The structure of the workshop consists of two complementary parts. The first part focuses on neurological music therapy techniques specifically designed to stimulate attention, perception, and concentration, relying on scientifically validated principles of the influence of music on neurocognitive processes. The second part emphasizes self-help and self-care activities, highlighting the importance of preserving the mental health of physicians and healthcare staff. Based on the premise that caregivers can best support others when they are relaxed and unburdened, participants will be introduced to receptive music therapy activities applicable in everyday life.
By participating in the workshop, attendees will have the opportunity to explore music as a medium for non-verbal expression of current moods, feelings, and thoughts, thereby opening space for a deeper understanding of their own emotional processes and for improving quality of life. Through active involvement in music therapy activities, participants will gain insight into the fundamental concepts of music therapy, the principles of the therapist’s work, and the potential of musical experiences in the context of both professional and personal well-being.
